The "train rides" are actually on a small park railroad that runs around part of the facility, it is not a real train.

However, the place is very interesting to visit. There is quite a bit of equipment outside and lots of info inside. The museum also covers Alaska technology and has a great deal of information on such things as road construction, communications, air travel, and many other technologies.

I didn't when I was there last year. I don't know if they sometimes allow such tours...Bart
