Anyone know the similarities and differences between the turnstiles used at the JFK AirTrain and the new PATH ones? I was curious if there's any chance the $40 unlimited AirTrain card would work on PATH.

No, that card will not work in PATH. Only QuickCards or pay-per-ride MetroCards will work.

Now that my login issue has been resolved (I hope) I can put my answer to the question:

Physically the turnstiles are the same.

The PATH turnstiles will accept only: PATH QuickCards (mutil-ride or single ride) and the Pay-per -ride MetroCard.

The $40 Airtrain cards will only work at Howard Beach or Jamaica.
