Trains ran a pretty detailed article on 927's purchase. While my hunch seems correct on the unit not having a permanent home ready, the experience and pedigree of the group's founders is pretty legit.

Organized in 2023 by a group of current and retired railroaders, NRH gained nonprofit Internal Revenue Service 501(c)3 status last summer. Based in the Baltimore area but incorporated in Pennsylvania, the group is talking with several railroads about a place to store the unit while it seeks a permanent home in the Baltimore or Philadelphia areas. It will be interesting to watch NRH progress and grow!
