The Cahoon Park trestles which served the Lake Shore Electric Railway back until the 1930's are subject to demolition due to decay and un-safe risks they pose on pedestrians. The concrete structures have always served as a point of interest to anyone who has lived in Bay Village and those who have a passion for interurban railroads. The city is considering saving/preserving a few of the trestles that are out of the way of pedestrians to preserve some of the history they have left behind. The city of Bay Village would like to save all of them, but simply does not have the funds available at this time.
