Remember seeing a picture, years ago, in either Trains or Railfan & Railroad, of long abandoned ROCK trackage in Arkansas with the remains of a trackside signal, stripped of anything valuable to scrap vandals. I was struck by how at one time, the line was once part of a larger system, and, since 1980, defunct. Great work by the photographer and author of the caption that went with it in the magazine.
