doubt it, as all Diesels are restricted to 60 mph max on LIRR last I looked.

If Conductors are in charge, why are they promoted to be Engineer???

The LIRR timetable showed 80 mph for DE/DMs a few years ago. Has the limit dropped?

The conversation I mentioned took place in 2007. He didn't say they actually ran the switchers 100 mph, just that they were geared for it.

He said the MP15s were geared 57:20? Even tho their timetable maximum is 65 or whatever it is?

If that ratio produces a top speed of 100mph, then yes.
