Alco comes back home to Providence PROVIDENCE

ALCO is revving up again.

Extensive renovation of mill buildings on Valley Street that formerly housed the famed railroad locomotive manufacturer, American Locomotive Company (founded in 1866 as the Providence Locomotive Works) will revive its name. And with the return of the ALCO name comes memories of the luxury car made here 100 years ago.
