53 Raritan River Pictures Found!

Hi all,

1. 53 pictures of the RRRR discovered from the NRHS Archives and published with permission!
2. Includes some never seen before pictures of Passenger Cars, Combines, US Railway Express Cars, Cranes, Gondolas, Engines, Cabooses.
3. Of course a few new pictures from the NRHS Special of May 28, 1938!

The following 53 pictures have been generously “published with permission” from the North Jersey Chapter of the NRHS. They have been scaled down greatly in size. Most pictures were larger than 1024x768 resolutions. The amount of detail in the original pictures is absolutely amazing. I have scaled the pictures down in size and resolution, and added an ownership stamp, to hopefully preserve the collections integrity. If you want to see a full size picture or two, let me know. The entire collection can be purchased for a very fair $10 from the North Jersey chapter of the NRHS.

Those are some fantastic photos! I really enjoyed them, thanks for posting. I work now and then down near Rt 1 and Rt 18, it's interesting to see what it looked like almost 70 years ago.

Really, really cool! The quality of those shots is truly incredible. Right now, I'm pretty darn close to the former RRRR line. Neat to see how it looked back then.

Things sure have changed around here!
