During October, 1993, the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners (AAPRCO) held their annual convention in Sacramento, California. 44 privately owned railcars attended this event:
- Bella Vista, Blue Ridge, Burrard, Caritas, Cascade Nights, Chapel Hill, City of Spokane, Columbia River, Dagny Taggart, Florida, Georgia 300, Golden Mission, Hollywood Beach, Imperial Sands, Intrepid, Jane Marie, Missouri-Kansas-Texas 403, Montecito, Monterey, National Border, National Forum, Native Son, Northern Sky, Pacific Grove, Palm Beach, Palm Leaf, Paris, Peterson Canyon, Plaza Santa Fe, Pointe St. Charles, Pony Express, Prairie Rose, Sacramento Southern 1536, Salisbury Beach, Sierra Hotel, Silver Lariat, Silver Lookout, Sonoma Valley, Tallahassee, Tamalpais, Tennessee, The Survivor, Union Pacific 103, Virginia City.
What I want to know is: what routes did these cars take in order to get to and from the convention, assuming that all or most of them came on an all-private car train? What did these cars look like back in 1993? And, where are they now?
