Does anyone have any details/info about a B&M wreck that occured in 1974 at Orange, MA? According to a 1975-76 "Extra 2200 South" magazine, B&M GP9 1732 was wrecked there, and was subsequently rebuilt.

1732 is now at RMNE in Connecticut, and will be getting an engine transplant, most likely sometime next year.

The ICC accident report archives in the DOT Library don't show any B&M activity for 1974, which could mean the accident was low-level or there are archive problems or both. If you haven't tried there already, the forum section of the B&MRRHS website might provide some help. Sometimes the responses may take a while in coming, but they're usually thoroughly detailed.

This B&M roster includes notes on wrecks but does not have such a notation for 1732. It indicates that it became Springfield Terminal #68 under "notes".
