Sorry to do Chessie 8212 one better on his post about the "pumpkin" at Walbridge, but there is as I type this (at 3:15 PM, Sunday, March 5) a truly phenomenal mix of power at the Stanley service track. Fasten your seat belt for this one:

1504 (stealth)/HLCX 9027(MPI blue/gold)/TORC 999; 9034/8629; 2697/ATSF 691 (almost pure warbonnet, has only sublettering on cab for BNSF)/BNSF 4788; 9121 and 9122 (both in Chessie System) (9122 in perfect photo position when I was there); CN 2591/CN 5751; 9136 (new blue)/9119 (Great Pumpkin); 8317 (new blue)/8854; 8814 (CR blue); CEFX 3116 (blue)/FURX 7267 (standard BN green/black/white)/296; 8869/UP 9115/9156. Units with no road name are CSX, CSX units with no description of paint schemes are some version of previously standard blue/grey/yellow. Counting all the blue/grey/yellows as one, I come up with 13 paint schemes!

Another odditiy: MP15 1170 was working Walbridge. Also on hand at Walbridge was 6025 with two cars, the Ohio and a track geometry car.

Just a note for those reading this since you didn't specify, these two units are not locomotives. They are remote shoving platforms so don't look for them in service outside of a yard... ever.

Quite often do I see 9120, 9121, 9122 (the 2 chessies and a seaboard unit) in a consist running between Harris, Stanley, Walbridge, and the Toledo Docks.

This train left Walbridge at approx. 9:00 Monday morning headed North on the old TT.

I have seen this one quite often lately (past month) running also in a consist down the old TT, between Walbridge and the Docks. Must be the new power in town?

Yes, they are moved between yards and shops with some regularity, but I wanted to point out for the n00bs around here that they will never lead as they are no longer actual locomotives. That is all.

You definately did me one better... or should I say, 13 better!

I feel a little disheartened having missed all that paint out there. I was spring breaking with some family in Florida, so I guess spending time on a warm, sunny beach in early March makes it a wash. :-D

Any idea when the MP15 usually makes its run out of Walbridge? Would love to catch that move.
