You are under no obligation to share whatever info you have... But that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone else following the movement.

You kill me, like I'd even try!...The point is, the less info out there about the move, the less of a chance the foamer community will have time to rally and make a nuisance of themselves.......Oh, and congratulations....What you said is exactly wherein lies the problem with foamer community. Gee, and then they wonder why railroads and other operators like 112's owner get pissed off.............

Alright, Lets chill out. We know 112 is on the move north, and it should be left at that. Thanks for the explination CAR_FLOATER. Let's just all be thankful that she'll be another running Lehigh Valley Engine in Valley Paint, even if it will be repainted. That brings the total count to what.. 3 engines? 414, 112, & one more... I cannot recall the number off hand.
3 is a good start.

Sean, it's cool, some people like to push buttons and don't "get it" unless you bonk them over the head.

I am happy to explain the situation, I just want the facts of the matter out there, that's all. Supposition can lead to very bad things.......I've had my share of that thanks to RR.net over the last two years. Problem is, there are good people, as well as good information to be found here, if you know how to weed thru the bulls**t.

yep, 112 will make three!

112 will be restored to her "as delivered" scheme..will be the only loco in the LV "Pre War" switcher scheme:

"Hammerhead" RS3m 211 is preserved at the RGVRRM, repainted into her 1970 LV scheme,
(the first of two LV schemes she wore while with the LV)
http://www.rgvrrm.org/about/railroad/lv211/index.htm

And C420 414 is at the SRRNJ, privately owned, repainted in her as-delivered Yallowjacket scheme:

There are three more locos running around in LV schemes, but were not originally LV engines:

the two "LV" F-units, owned by the URHS of NJ:

And Finger Lakes Railway has their "LV Heritage" U23B, wearing the same "Cornell Red 3-stripe" scheme as the F-units,
which was never worn by LV U-boats of course,
but they know that, and did it on purpose! I think it looks great:

Scot:

Don't forget the Tioga Central Alco RS1 that was painted in a LV-inspired paint scheme. Felt that this outfit had, in addition, another loco painted similar to the RS1, but I have never observed same.

Possibly they no longer exist.

They exist. The RS1 is numbered 62, and the other LV-inspired paintjob is on S2 #14. Head over to Wellsboro PA if you'd like to see them run.. Buy a ticket and ride behind them! :-D

OK.. Back to the 112. My personal feelings being injected here, it's a shame NS can't misroute it to Lehighton. I'd be the first to let you know when it rolled behind my house..

For the record I hope it shows up at Three Bridges safe and sound!

56-57:

Would that I could head over to Wellsboro but, alas, my place of residence is over 1500 miles from that location.

Rode the origional Tioga Central, behind #14 back in June, 1985.

Thanks Scotty. How could I be foolish enough to forget 211, especially since I saw it just this past Saturday...
Still great that we have 3 in "preservation" (note the quotation marks); plus many more that are soldiering on in new paint and under new owners.

Really cool how NS put her into the powerpool over with the other engines, rather shoving it into a cut of freight cars. Makes me happy that she's on her way home.
