I now have quite a few restrooms plotted on the MTA map but I am having difficulty finding Roosevelt Ave. I found Roosevelt Island on the B and Q lines. Is that the one mentioned here or is that on another line ? Also I cannot find a Broadway Junction on the A, J and L lines. The A and the L seem to connect at 14th St and the A and the J at Broadway Nassau. But I don't see where all three meet. I feel dumb because I was at Queensboro Plaza on Saturday and somehow missed the restroom at that location. Of course I didn't know there was one there. I am beginning to think that if you plot your trip carefully you could spend the whole day riding the systen and never have to leave it for a bathroom break. Many thanks again

Roosevelt Ave Station is in Queens. It is not the same as Roosevelt Island. Its Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Ave now and is where the 7 train and the E&F intersect.

Bway Jct is exactly where the A, J, and L intersect in Bklyn, 7 stops before Canarsie (which is end of L train)

I have noticed that most of the open restrooms are in Brooklyn. I know at one time there were three different subway systems in NYC. Is there any connection between those heritage lines and bathrooms ?

Croton-Harmon has a public restroom near the ticket office.

Many stations with open waiting rooms and station agents have them incuding major stations such as New Haven, Stamford, White Plains and Poughkeepsie.

Most Metro North stations, at least on the New Haven line have restrooms. Stamford has restrooms which are open for all train departures, Norton Heights has them from the early morning until about 4:00PM or 5:00PM when the station is locked. Darien, New Cannan, and New Rochell have them but I am not sure of the hours at these stations. Smaller stations and those on branch line most likely don't have them. On the New Cannan branch all stations besides New Cannan don't even have waiting rooms.

I can back up the report of toilet facilities at the Atlantic Avenue/Pacific Street complex. The Lexington Avenue stop in Manhattan on the BMT has them at the Third Avenue end of the station - Mens' on one side of the stairs, Womens' on the other. This would also be available to riders on East Side Interboro.

Although I haven't been on the mezzanine at West 4th Street in several years, I've heard that the toilets there are either still or again open to the public.
