Budd RDC Builder's plate

Post by xebec007 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 7:30 am

I'm new to this forum. I'm currently restoring a Budd RDC 1 and I was wondering where the Budd builder's plate goes on the car. Are there more then one per car? Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about it's a stainless steel plate that says ''Built By The Budd Company''. Thank you in advance for your help.

The only builders plates i've seen were on B&M Budds, including the restored 6211 at Bedford Depot Park. They were located in the passenger compartment on each end bulkhead.

The builders plates for most cars that I saw at Red Lion were attached to the inside face (passenger compartment) of the interior door.
