Wow, neat stuff.
I alwayswanted to know what an 8-251 sounds like. What horn do you suppose is on the C-415?

I wonder if the folks at Pentrex know that somebody is posting their videos on YouTube...

...That is probably the most beautiful sound that I've ever heard to come from a machine.

That is amazing...

What official of the Mexican gov't am I going to have to bribe to sneak that baby north over the border when I strike it big?

Edit: will Doyle's NKP 104 sound the same? I hear he is doing what UP did with 951 and transplanting a more modern pm into the unit. Not that I am criticizing, as having a PA in any form is much better than we were five years ago...

Doyle's NKP190 is comming along great, yes it has a different main engine than original, the engine came from a MLW B unit .

There are still parts from the 688 lying around, like the whells w/ bearings, damping struts from the trucks, d/b cover (roof), etc.

Looks like they're putting in a 12-cyl 251 from an M420B. Good choice from the standpoint of reliability and parts availability... and I'm sure it'll sound just fine, too. :-D
