Hello all,
After seeing an amount of photos of ALCo S-4s surface, I have noticed something odd about the ex CV 8081 we have. She was built September 1955, bn: 81401.
Can anyone tell me how many other units have these external items, besides her sister, CV 8080;
3 hood doors with filter panels instead of all doors with louvers
Exhaust stack is a straight oval, not reduced to round
Full grating over fan instead of roof walk size grating
You can see these items in her old K&L Feeds paint.
