Nice videos! Do they run on a specific day? I would love to catch them in action (living in Albany) but can't take a day off of work just to hope to see them running.

It's pretty much a 5-day a week operation, M-F, but some weeks they may skip a day or two. Sorry, I know that's not much help. If you have a day in mind, PM me and I'll see if I can nail down whether they'll be running.

UT-1 is featured here on its April 17th run as follows: 1) on Schuyler Street; 2) along NYS Routes 5/8/12 (Utica's Arterial); 3)at Richfield Junction (the wye there is OOS); and 4) just past Summit Rd, Marshall.

Here's UT-1 on April 20th:

1) passing by the ex-DL&W watchman's tower at the northerly end of Schuyler Street;
2) a side view farther down Schuyler Street;
3) switching on the run-around just east of French Road (ex-West Shore territory);
4) crossing Chenango Rd;
5) crossing Clinton St, NY Mills;
6) switching Di-Highway, NY Mills;
7) re-crossing Clinton St.

3. Rounding the curve south of Richfield Jct (listen to the roar of the engines!) and crossing Summit Rd, Cassville; and

Hello! The boxcars are empties, switched out from a customer in New Hartford which is reached via a spur off the Utica main. Taking them to Sangerfield saves making a few switching moves. The tank car is consigned to an asphalt company in Sangerfield.

On May 18th, UT-1 derailed in New York Mills while shoving a boxcar and covered hopper. This was a low-speed derailment, the train was traveling under 10 mph. The conductor was not hurt.

The cars were re-railed the next morning.
