And then there were five....

Cab car 2410 is out and about from its overhaul.

I don't know which car is next, but only five remain to be done: 2402, 2403, 2404, 2406, and 2409.

There has been a PP set running on the West Trenton Line during the midday over the last week or so. Not sure if it's training or has replaced a MU run. Saw it from a distance last Thursday and heard horns on Friday.

I miss the lighting. It’s much warmer and less harsh in the non-rehabbed cars. The new cars have really bright, white, harsh lighting.

Two sets to Trenton, two sets to West Trenton, one set to Wilmington, and two sets to Paoli-Thorndale. Both Trenton sets are 8-car trains, the rest are all 6-car trains, with the MARC cabs making up five of the six cars of one West Trenton set.

There are LED lighting that is far less harsh. I have LED lighting in my house, but I bought the warm glow bulbs.

Does this mean there are no longer any PP sets assigned to Media/Elwyn? Or do the West Trenton sets run through and make return trips out of Elwyn?

No push pulls to Elwyn for the time being. The last train was 9340 in the AM, with no PM counterpart.

So are the Trenton and Wilmington sets all overnighting at Powelton now? Paoli-Thorndale 1502 (turned and ran to Wilmington usually) and 9553 were push-pull previously. The set would overnight along with the two others at Frazer nightly.

One Trenton set parks overnights and weekends at Powelton. The other remains at Trenton.
The Wilmington set overnights at Roberts; 1502 is MU's now, and I think it later deadheads out to Elwyn for 9340.

Currently, the current PP assignments (if all goes as planned during the day) are as follows:

West Trenton
Set 1 (MARC set with SEPTA cab): 6325/6374
Set 2: 6321/6378

Trenton (8-car sets)
Set 1: 9724/9745
Set 2: DH Powelton to Suburban Station/1703/9728/9747/DH to Powelton

Paoli-Thorndale
Set 1: 9526/9561 Great Valley Flyer
Set 2: 9538/1565

Wilmington-Newark
Set 1: 1295/9212, 9251/9254

Trenton Set #1 (9724/9745) has been running with 6 cars for the past week. I asked the conductor about it, and he does not know if it is permanent.

Trenton Set #2 (1703/9728/9747) is still 8 cars.
