VIA has announced that service to Churchill will resume on Sunday December 2.
VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) is pleased to announce that passenger train service will resume in northern Manitoba, between Gillam and Churchill, on December 2, 2018. NBC News is about to air a segment on Churchill. Suffice to say the Polar Bears are what it will be all about.

Churchill is a transload station for commodities heading north to rural communities in Nunavut. Such loads may
be trucked to Thompson, MB, then loaded onto train, and then flow north.
