Keewatin Rail which already operates the passenger trains to Pukatawagan is based in The Pas

Depends on the traffic though. Churchill trains have tourist traffic which may be dissuaded by a two seat ride.
Perhaps during Polar Bear Season...a month or so a year. Other than that....very little traffic to warrent a train between The Pas and Winnipeg.

VIA has announced that service to Churchill will resume on Sunday December 2.
VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) is pleased to announce that passenger train service will resume in northern Manitoba, between Gillam and Churchill, on December 2, 2018. Trains will once again travel in both directions, according to the regular schedule that was in effect prior to the suspension of service in spring 2017.

Holy s**t I'm late on news. Last time I checked (Like 3 months ago?) they were still in the talks. Was the news I got were already outdated or did the work get completed that fast?
