During the past year or so I've been hearing that crews do not have enough time to inspect their trains at Penn. Seems that equipment comes in late but has to go out on time leaving crews to take shortcuts that could result in safety issues or be written up for holding a train. What has everyone else heard?
The best the T&E crews can do is change ends and do a "quick" terminal brake test.
Does NJT keep a"squad" of car knockers at NY Penn,to handle some of the inspection work at platform side??
