Amtrak special charter stopped at Odenton MARC station due to engineer running on the law. Thay couldn’t make it to Bowie. Left about ten minutes ago.

Turns out they called CTEC about it three hours ago but the recrew got the word at 6:55am.

The Capitol Limited had a near miss yesterday. Passengers aboard 43 (27) who were connecting with 29 (27) were advised that a bustitution was possible because of a derailment. I'm assuming this was the coal train that NS put on the ground in McKeesport. Looks like both 29 and 30 got through without difficulty.

No word from Amtrak. Local station WTLV has a report that points to the derailment in Mixon Town, FL.
