i see the 107-702 regularly in rand yard (lake mary/sanford) where they sit for a few days, then vanish for a few. i've also noticed a champion painted loco and a rail america type red, white and blue engine in the yard, but couldn't see the numbers.

This is correct at least according to Trains Magazine newswire which has it in it this week. They will have a good home.

100-103 sold to VRS/PW, two each.
What happened to 104-107? I know they went to CSX for a bit, are they still there? Does FEC still own them, or are they now owned by a lease company or other entity?

They look pretty sharp in their new New England colors:

The four remaining SD-70M-2's have departed the FEC shop and are leased to the NS. I have heard that the NS is already using them.
