Hi
I see on Don Ross's site the following:
"2439, C425, Class AF-25 was built in December 1965, #3433-03, as PRR 2439, Class AF-25. It became PC 2439, Class AF-25, in 1968 and Conrail 2439, Class C-425, in April 1976. It was renumbered 5073 in October 1979 and rebuilt by General Electric in February 1981 as Detroit & Mackinaw 1280. It was donated to the Saginaw Railroad Museum in 2011."
I thought the Alcos were mostly scrapped, including the 1280. Is Don's site correct? If so, we may have to add the museum to our vacation itinerary.
Cheers
Steve
