A gathering of clips from the past week and a Crescent meeting on Wednesday. I'm guessing the NS derailment will have things running slow around here for a day or two. It's been pretty quiet this afternoon.

On another subject why do you think it is the when accosted by the police while waiting on a train and you tell them what you're doing they look at you like you're insane? I can't imagine what these guys do that makes them so normal or is what we are doing that abnormal?

In between chores I was able to get in a bit of train chasing. Included in the days action is NS 393 then both Amtrak Crescents at track speed. Then NS 225 followed by NS 345. As I type NS 393 is blowing the crossing at 26th Street. Seems I miss more than I catch (like fishing)Enjoy and thanks for watching.

Today was a banner day on the AGS South. I accomplished something I have not done since moving to Tuscaloosa and that is catching every train running through Tuscaloosa. And what a day it was! I have to thank NS 219 for breaking down (listen for the locked up traction motor) at CP Coaling and causing a traffic jam. NS 219 had the fifth motor on the third unit lock up and had to be set out at Coaling. You will see 219 with all three units braking down and then with 2 motors at Tuscaloosa going into emergency. I hate I missed that set out operation.

Another power problem caused NS 130 to use a GP38 running long hood forward to get out of Tuscaloosa. Got a couple of video's of this oddity. Later at CP Coaling A55 take off with a long hood forward SD40-2 leading two more.

Amtrak 19 shows up at CP Coaling with Big Mo sounding a hello and then Train 20 with three units passing NS 345. While waiting for 20 NS 345 shutdown and starts up so you get to see that.

Back at MP 195 NS 172 comes by and then 345 with two back to back UP 4800 series SD70's. To end the the day NS 339 comes by with two KCS Belles. All in all a good day. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

A few trains at MP 195 on the AGS South. The storm has disrupted traffic but a few of the regular trains are running. Of special note is NS 339 with an epic consist of KCS power. I have never seen as many motors on a KCS train anywhere...even on KCS home rails.
