Some GG-1 had Westinghouse electrical equipment, some GE. The two makes of electrical were SUPPOSED to be equivalent, perhaps interchangeable? Were they really interchangeable? Did any GG-1 originally built with W-house traction motors ever get GE or vice versa? Would it have been feasible to operate a GG-1 with a mixture: WH tms on some axles and GE on others? Was it ever done?
