Hey, I remember a while ago when we were talking about the old PRR electrification scheme on the NEC and how cumbersome it was telling people how to find the substations and frequency converters and whatnot.

Well today I discovered Wikimapia (http://www.wikimapia.org) which is basically Wikipedia meets google maps. You can scroll around and then add locations, which you can then direct people towards, like when trying to explain where an Amtrak station or yard is.

I would like to propose a Wikimapia project to label all the PRR Electrification components. I have already done a bit already, but I'll like the experts to look things over and make whatever changes are necessary. You can see an example of what can be done at:

You need to click on upcomming images because I just added all the Port Richmond locations this afternoon. I am hoping to get all the substations, field switches and frequency converters labeled. We should also standardize tags. I am using Amtrak, 25Hz power, Railroad Electrification and Pennsylvania Railroad.
