I have read the PRR B6 0-6-0 switchers used a equalizer bar to help stabilize the front end,
to keep the locomotive frame from breaking, and, to help give a better ride. Can
someone explain to me what this bar consisted of, where it was located, and, how
it worked? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

AFAIK the drive axles on all locomotives were equalized. Usually one end of the spring rigging was connected to the engine frame and through links went from axle to axle and back to the frame. Many times the lead and trailing trucks were interconnected to the drivers.
