Magnificent video. Illustrates what a crime tearing down Penn Station was. There is a lot of interesting information given; for instance, that the tunnels move up and down with the tides. Years ago I heard that the tunnels were floating in the silt. But there also are a lot of comments by historians and authors- "experts" that strike me as being worthless. They are worth putting up with to see the classic pictures of the station and tunnels being built.
In my Penn Central days, I heard that the PC had run a coal train through the tunnels as some sort of test. The idea seems insane to me.
