"The only place I know for sure that the New Haven renamed was "Cannondale" on the Danbury branch"

Coming in with a late reply, but South Kent on the Housatonic line was renamed to Gaylordsville after a wreck there. Either the crew got confused with "South Kent" and "Kent", or the order was mis-written.

Afterwards, they changed the station name.

Woodrow was the name for South Kent but unlike most of the other8 stations in this category it was also Woodrow in the public timetables with South Kent liated aside. Woodrow lasted until the summer of 1951 and no passenger trains stopped there after that. Gaylordsville was at one time named Merwinsville, too much digging for me to find more right now. Incidentally Woodruff was staffed until pretty near the end.
