Hello,

Does anyone know if the Erie Railroad had Lower Quadrant semaphore signals on gantries located along the Erie Graham Line like the one shown at http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ances ... /76-14.JPG. The link goes to a photo of the old signal gantry at Port Jervis yard. Why I raise this inquiry is because I have seen the old signal gantry at Port Jervis yard and the one at Otisville. I take it that prior to the Erie Railroad installing Searchlight signals in the 1950s that these gantries had semaphores. Is that assumption correct? If the Erie Railroad did have Lower Quadrant semaphores on signal gantries like the one shown at the aforemented link, does anyone know of locations where these signals existed on the Graham Line, and/or have pictures of the signals? I am in need of images for a proposed modeling project of a Erie Railroad Lower Quadrant semaphore signal on a gantry if this type of signal setups in reality existed.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Walter Conklin
