My sister-in-law gave me some prints that she made from slides that her grandfather took. The slides are dated 1968, but the pictures could be from 1967. Among the prints are a wreck on the LV in Barton, NY (http://www.railroad.net/forums/viewtopi ... 79&t=90042) and on the EL near Smithboro, NY. I've found info on the LV wreck, and now am looking for info on the EL wreck. I've searched the ICC archives and don't see anything, but then again, I couldn't find the LV wreck there either. Does anyone have any information about the EL wreck? It was big enough that cars piles up and block both main lines.

Yes, http://fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html. Not sure if it archives articles as late as the '80's. Search by name so all newspapers will be listed alphabetically.
