Can anyone tell me the scheduled time for the Goshen stop for train 75 on 8/16/63? I found this picture (top picture) that shows train 75 on 8/16/63 at St James Place. I thought it was interesting and wanted to recreate it almost 50 years later (bottom photo). Below is a test photo I took on 2/6/11. A Large pile of snow prevented me from getting a better angle to match the original, but you can see that the house looks almost exactly the same 48 years later! I want to attempt to get a picture in August at about the same time of day as the original.

A little digging through some of my late father's timetable collection-

EL April 28 1963 (it would have been the one in effect; the next one would have been issued in, I believe, late September).

Train 75 was Saturday only, Hoboken to Port Jervis. Scheduled in Goshen at 6:08 PM, at the station a few blocks ahead.

Good luck on your shot; now if you could only conjure up the E-8...

Thanks. I was afraid that would be the answer. 8/16/63 was a Friday. I dont think the year is wrong because 1964 was a leap year so 8/16 was a sunday. Now I need to figure out if its the date or the train number that is wrong. At least I will take another shot when the snow melts. It really would be something to see an E-8 pull into Goshen again!
