What are the original dates for inauguration of the DL&W trains "Phoebe Snow" and "Lackawanna Limited?" I mean from the early days, not in E-L days.

While possibly this material has been linked elsewhere, I find this video to be "priceless":

Thomas T. Taber, in The Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad in the Twentieth Century, Vol. 1, states that the Lackawanna Limited dated from the 1890's (no date given, but in the companion 19th Century volume a public timetable of May 9, 1887 shows Nos. 3 and 6 as the Buffalo Express), and in the late 1890's was renamed the Queen City Special but was renamed the Lackawanna Limited by January 26, 1902. The first trip of the streamlined Phoebe Snow took place on November 15, 1949.

The Lackawanna Limited ran from May 14, 1883 To November 14, 1949. The Limited was dieselized in December Of 1946 with the new Streamlined coaches and sleeper cars, pulled by F3 ABA 801 & 802.

When the new Diners and Tavern lounge cars arrived in late 1949, it was time to rename the Lackawanna Limited To Phoebe Snow.

The Phoebe Snow made it's Inaugural Run on November 15, 1949. It was pulled by the F3 ABA 801, 802, 803, 804, 805 up intill 1951. When the new E8 A unit's started to arrive numbered 810, 811, 812, 813, 814, 815, 816, 817, 818, 819, 820. The Phoebe Snow ran from November 15, 1949 Till the merger of death in October of 1960. After William White took control of the EL, he returned the Phoebe Snow. But that only lasted a few years.
