My "Steam Powered Video's RR Atlas" show a spur from Cresco on the DL&W to Mountainhome, PA, a distance of 2 miles or so. A 1954 timetable indicates that Cresco was the scheduled station for Mountainhome and several other communities. There is a large resort hotel complex (now unoccupied) in Mountainhome of the type typical in resort areas in the early 20th. century. It would have been a natural for rail service.

Can anyone shed some light? Was there really a spur that joined the main at Cresco? How was it operated? When did it quit? Any jpegs or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank
