Railfanning near Lake George?

Any good place to sit near the D&H outside of Lake George to watch trains? I was thinking maybe near Fort Ann? What is the frequency on Friday or Saturday? What is the general timing? Afternoon, before lunch?

Mid afternoon is good around Ft. Ann. 69 and 931 usually go north, and about 3:30 68 comes south.
