Because the real situation at GE is likely a LOT worse than they've been letting on to.

They just restated the last two year's earnings.

The SEC is investigating them.

The DOJ is investigating them.

The situation at Power is probably a lot worse than they want to admit to.

There's been break up talks.

What I wonder is, who the heck would GE sell GETS to? Bombardier can't afford it, Siemens and Alstom don't need it, it doesn't fit with anything CAF or Stadler does. Maybe CCRC, if the Chinese are still in aquisition mode. Or some vulture capital firm.

Apparently, GE has scored another new contract. KCS has ordered 50 new units for delivery next year, which will supposedly be a mixture of Tier 4 Credit and Tier 4 units.
