Good Morning!

For an upcoming article in Classic Trains about SW-1s, a inquiry has been made about how many B&M units remain. This was the list that I was given but would like to "vet it" to a wider audience. Thank you!

I had never heard of it, until this thread..I was curious so I googled it:
The "General II" in service but not under steam. SW1 in the boxcar doing the work."

Note the SW1 trucks underneath its boxcar sheath..interesting!

I assume the "box car look" was nothing more than a cover over the locomotive?

Yes. They built the frame around the locomotive, and had a control stand in the General 2.
