The WW&F Railway museum needs your help to restore a historic Boston & Maine bridge that once crossed Moose Brook near Berlin NH. The Wiscasset, Waterville, & Farmington Railway museum was in need of a bridge, and the National Preservation of Covered Bridges was looking for a home for the bridge to save it. Fortunately the paths crossed, and the National Preservation of Covered Bridges donated the bridge and the cost of construction the bridge itself. With the bridge nearing the half way mark we need your help to ensure we are able to set the bridge as early as next year. To find out more, or to help us preserve this generous gift from the National Preservation of Covered Bridges, please visit our fundrazr page at https://fundrazr.com/NarrowBridgeAhead? ... aOuwntts4m" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes, they are very rare today. With the help of our generous members this project is off to an excellent start. But with support of our non-members and friends we have high hopes to start prepairing the bridge site next year, and depending on funds will depend on when the bridge can be set. With any luck we hope to run a steam train across the bridge as early as 2020. But tp do this we need your help.

One thing I am disappointed in is the amount of people who say oh I wish this was saved or that was saved, but what it boils down to is when a chance arises, no one wants to pitch in to help. If each person that read this post so far donated even $25.00 towards this project that would be more than $1500 extra raised just from this page.

Here are some photos of standing the bridge trusses. We hope to be able to set the bridge next year, but to do so we need your help. Our members have once again exceeded our donation goal, however we need your help to continue raising additional funds for this project to fully reach our goal of being able to set the bridge. You can donate via the fundrazr page linked in the posts above.
