Tri-Rail Funding in Jeopardy

For those who missed the fight at the Palm Beach County Commission, roads, versus transit.

If Florida 710 is not a primary Hurricane evacuation route then I would rather have the funding go toward Tri-Rail. Better to fund public the public transit system than to widen the road and have more people driving to work.

Why do they need to widen 710? That road runs through the middle of no where and barely anyone drives on it.

On the subject of funds and spending, does anyone remember what the total cost of rebuilding the *ahem* GP49s ran to? It was a rather steep figure, if I recall right.
