I saw an inbound single SLV on the West Trenton Line around 3:35 yesterday at the Red Lion Road crossing. Not sure if it was a late running 6313 or some sort of extra.

Might have been a PTC test train. I saw a single SLV inbound between Rydal and Noble around the same time frame a week ago (12/9).

Are 412 and 413 singles? 413 was the lead car on 5368 and the last car on a very late-running 369 on Monday, 12/14. 412 was right behind it on 5368 and just ahead of it on 369. Of course, if this is a married pair, it's not an interesting consist. I didn't think to look for two catenaries, unfortunately.

RS:

S4 cars 412 and 413 are renumbered single cars.

I believe 400-415 are renumbered single S4 cars and 416 on up are all pairs.

You mean pantographs - all single cars have one...

Close. 400-416 are singles, 417-460 are married pairs. :)

On January 27th: Train 6576 has cars 367-366-365-364-361-360, in that order.
You mean that they could not find cars 363-362??

Train 9724 ran with a full set of refurbished bomber coaches this morning, except for the cab car.

Do the cabs need to be tested and accepted like a new locomotive? I have not yet seen a refurbished bomber cab except for the one done in house by SEPTA.

SEPTA actually finished two cab cars. They didn't get any mechanical work that I'm aware of besides getting ACSES installed... but they did lose the restroom areas and gained six additional seats where it used to be.

None of the coaches got any mechanical work, either. Just the re-striping and interior do-over. I have gotten up close and personal with several of them as they passed through the yards at South Philly and Eastside while at work. All the underfloor equipment still looks the same, right down to the COTS dates for the air brake equipment.

6378 had push pulls tonight, probably because SEPTA couldn't get the set to Delaware. The locomotive was 2301.

Speaking of Delaware, the Delaware Silverliner V cars 871 and 872 ran with 861, 862, and 715 on morning express 6325 and on evening rush trains 6370 and 3755. 717 was also part of 6325. From front to back on 6325, they were 717-715-872-871-862-861. They were in the same sequence on the two evening trains, with 715 the last car on 6370 and the first on 3755.

While aboard train 505, spotted center-door Bombis 2557, 2556, 2555, & 2554 being pulled by CSX (each separated by a flat car) northbound along the CSX trackage next to Windrim Ave. (just north of Wayne Junction) this morning (Wednesday 8/3/16).

They're on their way back from their Rotem interior makeover/exterior re-striping.

That leaves trailers 2521, 2558, and 2559 as the final three to be done... and I bet they won't go until the Silverliner V fiasco is resolved.

For those that like number sequences, There is a set of silverliner Vs numbered 708-808-807 running around 12/15/16

Silverliner V cars 821, 822, 823, and 824 have been traveling together at least since Wednesday, December 28. They would have been seen in sequence if 823 and 824 hadn't been flipped. 823 leads Pennsy-bound trains, while the set's other car, 713, leads Reading-bound trips, with 821 right behind it. This set has been on 6370 and 3755 on 5 or 6 of the 7 non-holiday weekdays during this time. These runs had a IV set on Thursday, December 29. I was not able to observe it on Tuesday, January 3, so I don't know what cars were used that day.

Train 9547 ran with a reversed Bomber set on Tuesday. Cab car 2406 led the train west. It was fallout from a Tuesday morning switch failure on Amtrak at PHIL that forced Wilmington-Newark trains to run into 30th Street Lower. The set in question was on train 9212 and got caught in the mess.

So there is a morning Bomber set that will be coming into Center City locomotive leading on Wednesday morning.....
