I heard recently that AEM-7 2305 is out of service. Does anyone know if this is true or what happened?

2308 is/was at Frazer waiting for a part this past week after breaking down at Jefferson on the baby bombers two weeks ago.

2301 was at Fern Rock looked to be in place for a Trenton, 2306 was also at Fern Rock for a Thorndale (these two trains can and do get swapped depending on maintenance needs, 2303 was at Wayne Electric for the Evening Newark round trip, 2/29/16

2301 is at Fern Rock in place for the evening Trenton run, 2306 also at Fern Rock for an Evening Thorndale, 2307 at Suburban for the Great Valley Flyer, there is an AEM7 at Wayne for the Newark round trip but too far back to get the number from my train, 3/3/16

Edit for corrected engine number for the GVF

2301 fern Rock for the evening Thorndale, 2306 also Fern Rock for the Evening Trenton (stores on 7 track at Trenton for the weekend), 2304 at Wayne Electric for the Newark round trip, 2303 at Suburban for the GVF, the baby bombers are running tonight on their Malvern trip (6:05pm I believe from Suburban) couldn't see far enough into the yard to identify which engine though. 3/4/16

Saw a pic of Amtrak Siemens ACS-64 # 664 out back of Wayne Electric shop last week, think it's there for testing and familiarization.

Just saw the other thread, lol.

2301 never made it out of Fern Rock last night on the Trenton run, not sure what failed but it was sitting pans down dead at 8:30 last night.

2307 did the Newark round trip last night too.

That was Monday 3/14/16

I saw the Amtrak locomotive trailing Bombardier cars outbound on the West Trenton line shortly before the line becomes single track before Yardley around 5:20-5:25 pm on Monday, March 14.

Postex by mistake in this topic! But I can't see how to delete it!

2307 broke down tonight on train 9254 (pm inbound from Newark) at Ridley Park. Couldn't get it going again...we were transferred onto the following train, 1256.

9212, the first inbound Newark express, operated with Silverliner IVs today rather than the usual push-pull, I assume due to this plus other engines being out of service. Earlier in the week (Tuesday I believe) the PP set for that train woke up dead but was apparently coaxed to life later so they swapped the train sets for 9212 with 9218, the second Newark express.

SEPTA also has notices up on Twitter and TrainView that delays may occur due to equipment shortages. Looks like they need a stopgap until the ACS-64s come along ... the 2301-2308 fleet seems to be barely holding together. Was the rumor of leasing some of the "better" Amtrak AEM-7s just a rumor?
