What transit York does have has a stupid name: Rabbit Transit.

Well, it's not like other transit agencies in the south central PA are any better in the naming department...

Harrisburg/Dauphin County has CAT Transit (Capital Area Transit).

Lebanon County's is called COLT (County of Lebanon Transit).

Lancaster might have the classiest name of the bunch, but that's debatable with something called "Red Rose Transit Authority" (RRTA). FWIW, the red rose was a symbol of the House of Lancaster during the England's War of the Roses all back in the mid-15th century. With the House of York's symbol being a white rose, it's kinda obvious that York County would be a next door neighbor in the region.

This is an interesting read and it leads to the next big question: Given either candidate's stance on transit/SEPTA, if they win, will they keep their promise??? It's certainly not unheard of for a politician to either outright fib on a position or perhaps to bargain it away in pursuit of a more importation concept.

I'm not from PA so certainly have little opinion, just stating the next step after election.

And unfortunately, the makeup of the legislature can still stymie the best-intentioned governor (and transportation secretary).
