NJT helping out on Amtrak?

A wire in Elizabeth came down today. About the time that happened the NJT wire train (railcar) highballed past me in Middletown heading east. Around the time the problem in Elizabeth was fixed the wire train passed me, heading home to Red Bank.
I'm wondering if NJ Transit lent Amtrak a hand to get the track in Elizabeth back in service as quickly as possible?

I've seen the wite train make the same move several times since I posted this, and Amtrak hasn't had wire problems that I was aware of. So I guessed wrong.
