Rode NWK-WTC yesterday and actually saw PA-4 cars in work trains. So depressing.......... Besides that the station announcements were screwed up; at each stop it was announcing the following stop. (As we approached Excahange Place eastbound, it was announcing World Trade Center, Last Stop). At least they fixed the time displays though. Several months back the clocks were all a few minutes off. Now they seem to be correct.

I wonder how the conductors like the PA-5's, being as they can no longer see out the front either, from their operator's position in the first car. They used to be able to take a long view thru the length of the car, out the front windows.

They have a window they can (and do often) open. They also go between 1st and 2nd car depending on platform side.
