Extra Fare on Rockaway Line
Back in the day of the extra fare on the Rockaway line, how did they collect it?

Similar to the MBTA Red Line at Quincy/Braintree until 2007, with double fare inbound and one token to exit outbound.
Since my friend continues to chain smoke nonstop, she is probably an Alco.

Service to the Rockaways using the former LIRR facilities began circa 1956. At that time it was considered almost like a 4th division of the subway system. A big add-on with extra-fare.

Didnt you have to change there at Euclid for a Rockaway train? I seem to remember that or was it only late night hours?

until 1990, the main A service was to Lefferts blvd, you had to get the late night "Rockaway Round Robin" from Euclid.
