I had a terrific time chasing the museum trains on the Astoria line today, between QBP and Ditmars Blvd. I saw several railfans I know from the boards and several folks who just wanted to ride on an antique train.

I had a lot of fun and hope you enjoy the photos.

That's a niiiice photo of that train. They were just like the MBTA's #1-4 Cambridge-Dorchester Cars, our old 0600s and 0700s. Ours though are at Seashore including R4 0800 and R7A (Osgood-Bradley) 01440. Those two NYCT cars have been rolling at Seashore too.

Thanks!

That's R1 100 at the head of the train, the very first IND car.

I also enjoyed photographing and riding the BU train and the R1/9 train on the Astoria Line on Thursday. On the other hand, I was disappointed that the City Hall station was not re-opened to the public on Thursday.

Wow! I'm glad that those trains were able to be used for the trips out and about.

Also, did they ever get to use the R7A 1575, R11 8013, R16 6387 and R30 8506 at all? Those were museum cars too.
