A few Subway Questions:
I recently attended a Mets game and I unfortunitly did not ride the train home (I took the subway from woodside). A train was passing through the station and was tooting its horn. Was this cause the mets wont that nite (Mets 3 Phillies zilch) or was it cause of crowding on the platform? And how does the TA handle the Post game crowds as I thought I saw a few trains laid up on the express tracks. Would they run expresses back to the city or have a shuttle between Shea and woodside?

I recently had the chance to see a work locomotive and noticed the third rail beam and shoe on one of the trucks. Is this to take power and use the 750 volts instead of the desiel engine to power it?

The NYCT work locomotives (yellow units) are diesels.
Since my friend continues to chain smoke nonstop, she is probably an Alco.
