They should've stored a Phase I car, not a Phase II.

They should have another R32 with 3352, they should add an odd numbered R32 with it, so that they can run together as a mated pair

they do, 3351-3352, that's a set, you just don't see the other car in the photo. search around the site...

It's actually 3352-53. This set is historically significant as it was the lead pair on the R32's premiere run, 9/9/64.
Since my friend continues to chain smoke nonstop, she is probably an Alco.

Wasn't that run on NYC trackage from the Mott Haven Coach Yard to a display at GCT? I believe they also ran under their own power, due to the modification of their pick-up shoes (for under-running vs. over-running third rail)...

Yes, they ran as an 8-car special from Mott Haven to Grand Central.

It was a famous picture in enyclopedias when I was a boy. Those were the best cars ever, They were simple to operate, correct and maintain.

Absolutely. it's a shame though that they don't have a pair in origial form with fans, roll signs at the ends, and split windows.
