With the Pope visiting the WTC site on Sunday (4/20), PATH has announced that the WTC and Exchange Place stations will be closed from 8:30am - 10:30am (press release here).

Now, I can understand closing the WTC station, but what's the purpose of closing Exchange Place at the same time? It seems like they'd want to keep the station open and use it as the terminus for Newark trains for that period of time, since it was used that way before the WTC station reopened and has the crossovers for turning trains. Grove Street certainly isn't set up for that, and you're dealing with dodging JSQ trains. I suppose they could empty the train at Grove St., take the equipment to Exchange Pl. and turn it, but why not just take passengers to and from? The station
