museum train on 42nd Street Shuttle

In conjunction with Metro-North's Grand Central Terminal centennial Parade of Trains on May 11 and 12, MTA operated a museum train on the Times Square-Grand Central Shuttle.

Sadly as time goes by more equipment that's younger than me, and which I rode in regular service, gets called "antique".

I can relate. I'm the same age as the R-26's and the first of the New Look Buses.

Anyone have any info on the car(s) in use and how old they are?

5760: R12, built 1948 ACF. First "SMEE" cars for IRT.
6239: R15, ACF 1950.
9306: R33 WF "Blue Arrow" single unit delivered September 1963 by St. Louis Car for Flushing Line World's Fair service.

6609 (not in service): R17, St. Louis, 1955.
Since my friend continues to chain smoke nonstop, she is probably an Alco.
